High-Level Forum on RCEP 10 Year Anniversary: Reminiscing the Journey of RCEP and the Launch of the ERIA Second Book on Dynamism of East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP): The Framework for Regional Integration.

The Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), and the ASEAN Secretariat are pleased to inform the public, academics, public and private sectors, and press media that we will convene a High-Level Forum on “RCEP 10 Year Anniversary: Reminiscing the Journey of RCEP and the Launch of the ERIA Second Book on Dynamism of East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP): The Framework for Regional Integration” on the 02 -03 November 2022 at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, Cambodia.
This special forum will be highly presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who will deliver an insightful keynote and recommendations for the effective implementation of this Agreement. The forum is aimed to significate the entry into force of the RCEP Agreement in early 2022 following its roughly ten-year intensive negotiations launched and guided by the Joint Declaration on the Launch of Negotiations for the RCEP” adopted in 2012, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This historic forum will witness the handover by His Excellency Professor Hidetoshi Nishimura to Samdech Techo Prime Minister of the two books of ERIA: (1) Dynamism of East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP): The Framework for Regional Integration’ and (2) ‘The Comprehensive Asia Development Plan (CADP) 3.0: Towards an Integrated, Innovative, Inclusive, and Sustainable Economy’, which will be launched on 9 November 2022 in Phnom Penh. The forum will also include a high-level panel discussion, a stakeholders’ panel discussion, and a session during which key chapters of the RCEP Agreement will be critically discussed among experts and practitioners.
Therefore, we would like to keep the public, academics, and public and private sectors well informed and invite the press media to participate and disseminate the outcomes of this event as widely as possible.
