Announcement On the granting of E-commerce permit or license

The Ministry of Commerce ( MOC ) issued an announcement No. 1143 dated 26 May 2021 on the granting of E-commerce permit or license and conducted many workshops and trainings as well. However, MOC has noticed that to this day most of the sole proprietors and companies operating the business activity online have yet to apply for E-commerce permit or license. Therefore, MOC would like to inform the businessman, sole proprietor, company or foreign branch that is operating E-Commerce business activity to apply for E-commerce permit or license no later than the 1st of July 2022.

From the 1st of July 2022 hereafter, the businessman, sole proprietor, company or foreign branch, that has been operating E-Commerce business activity without E-commerce permit or license is subject to be fined in cash or ceased the business activities or faced with other measures as stated by laws and regulations. MOC expects the businessman, sole proprietor, company or foreign branch that has been operating E-Commerce business activities to apply for E-commerce permit or license no later than the 1st of July 2022.
