Ministry of Commerce secretary of state Cham Nimol urged people, especially woman entrepreneurs to learn, exchange experiences and build relationships with the aim of developing their businesses in the future.

She spoke during the opening of the Cambodian Woman Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA) Expo 2023 held on March 29-31 at Olympia Mall.

The expo had around 100 booths displaying high-quality products from women-run manufacturing enterprises organised by the CWEA, which also doubled up as their annual meeting to coincide with the association’s 11th anniversary.

Nimol praised the efforts of the CWEA in organising the trade expo to help promote and market products made by Cambodian women.

She encouraged and urged the relevant ministries and institutions, including development partners, to support, implement the strategies and visions set by the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry of Commerce to meet the challenges and opportunities in the Cambodian business sector.

She also called for support from the private sector, for strengthening production, marketing, human resource development and entrepreneurship, especially women entrepreneurs, to help empower women to reach their potential.
