In the afternoon of October 12, 2016, H.E. PAN Sorasak, Minister of Commerce accompanied by Secretary of State, Under-Secretary of State, Director General and Deputy Director Generals met with delegation from Jilin Province Investment Group Co. Ltd. to discuss investments on various rice processing infrastructures in order to strengthen the implementation of policies to increase rice productivity and rice export promotion.
The meeting also discussed the expression of interest of Jilin Province Investment Group Co. Ltd. to invest in the construction of high standard drying facilities, silos, storage and milling facilities so that Cambodian rice can meet international accepted standard and can be exported in greater volume to overseas market. Jilin Province Investment Group Co. Ltd. also requested for the Ministry of Commerce’s support on the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Cambodia Rice Federation.
